Cluny
The National Museum of the Middle Ages is located on the site of a Roman bath house. It contains a variety of unique artifacts. Medieval stained glass, stone heads of the Biblical Kings of Judah which once decorated the front of Notre Dame, Byzantine icons, and famous tapestries are on display.

Rodin
The historic mansion where Rodin once lived and worked provides a magnificent setting for displaying his creations. The gardens contain many of his statues gracefully enhanced by flowers, paths, and trees.

Army Museum
The collections and displays include Napoleon's horse, 13th-17th century weapons, elaborate uniforms, and exhibits detailing both World Wars. Napoleon's Tomb is underneath the golden dome of Les Invalides church.

Carnavalet
Two Marais mansions contain items which highlight the history of France. Rooms are filled with displays and paintings detailing history from the Renaissance to the Revolution to Romanticism. Changes in society are reflected in furnished rooms showing various styles in art, wall coverings, and furnishings.

Orangerie
In 2006, an area was specifically designed to display Monet's Water Lilies. These huge panels are over 6 feet tall and 55 feet long. Monet worked on this project obsessively for 12 years completing the last one at age 80. Also on display are the works of other Impressionists and personal favorites from the Guillaume collection.

Louvre
Europe's oldest and largest museum is housed in a 16th century palace. The collections include: Greek sculpture; Egyptian artifacts; Oriental antiquities; and paintings from the Italian Renaissance, the French Neoclassical and Romantic periods. The "must sees" are the Mona Lisa, Venus de Milo, and the Winged Victory of Samonthrace.
